Manual Installation
Before NordVPN released an official Fire TV version of the app, manually installing the app by sideloading the APK was the only possible way to use NordVPN on Fire TV. 6. Type “Downloader” in the search bar and select Download to install the app.
7. Open the Downloader app and type this URL: https://nordvpn.com/download/android/
8. The page will load in a browser. Select Download .apk.
9. Once the download is over select Install. Once the app is installed, click Done.
10. Since your Fire TV recognizes NordVPN as a third-party app, you won’t be able to find it on your home screen or the Apps page. To access the app, go to Settings, then Applications, then Manage Installed Applications.
11. Select NordVPN from the drop-down menu, then click Launch Application.
12. Enter your login credentials when prompted.
Pro Tip: You may face some difficulties controlling a native touchscreen app using your Amazon Fire TV Stick remote. To overcome this, you’ll need to set up a Bluetooth mouse.
